PURPOSE: To provide a plate cutting device capable of efficiently cutting the perimeter of a plate over the full length, and of sufficiently ensuring the safety of operators.
CONSTITUTION: A first cutting mechanism 1 for performing finishing work of the width of a plate B and a second cutting mechanism 2 for performing finishing work of the length of the plate B are arranged so that an extension line of the cutting plane of a sawing machine 5 for width-finishing in the first cutting mechanism 1 and an extension line of the cutting plane of a sawing machine 6 for length-finishing in the second cutting mechanism 2 cross at right angles. A first conveying means 19 conveys the plate B in the width direction (a) of the plate between the first cutting mechanism 1 and a conveying- intermediate position 3, and a second conveying means 20 conveys the plate B in the longitudinal direction (b) of the plate between the second cutting mechanism 2 and the conveying-intermediate position 3.
