PURPOSE: To easily perform positional adjustment of a workpiece by a structure wherein a guide channel is formed on a base of a plate joiner for cutting an arcuate slot in a workpiece and a handle is freely movably and freely rotatably provided in this guide channel and this handle can be hooked at a desired position.
CONSTITUTION: A plate joiner 10 is provided with a base 12, a handle 14, a main body 16, a cutting edge 18, a trigger mechanism 20 and a dust collector 22. The base 12 has an opening for selectively projecting the cutting edge 18 and forms a slender guide channel 34 for receiving a stop slide on its side part. The handle 14 is slidably provided in the guide channel 34 in the separating direction to the cutting edge 18 and is rotatably provided around the axis of a thumbscrew for fixing position inserted into the guide channel 34 as a center and can be positioned and fixed at a desired angle. In addition, the workpiece is positioned by bringing the first face of a workpiece into contact with the first fence rising perpendicularly of the base 12 and bringing the second face into contact with the second fence.
