Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate-making device using a thermal head capable of being manufactured at low cost, preventing a burden on a user, and preventing a plate-making image failure of stencil paper.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus 1 forms a plate-making image by heating stencil paper 15 with a thermal head 2. A determination section 20 of a control unit 10 of the image formation apparatus 1 determines whether a plate-making failure occurs on the basis of abnormality amount information indicating an amount of abnormality adhering to the stencil paper, a printing rate of the plate-making image, and table data representing a relation between the printing rate and an allowable abnormality amount before plate-making starts. If a failure possibly occurs, the plate-making is stopped and a user is alerted.
