To obtain a plate making machine that can precisely stop master paper at a previously decided position even when the master paper is comparatively soft.
In this plate making machine, master paper stoppers 22A and 22B are formed so that the cross sections thereof become D-shaped and the master paper X is locked by the D-shaped straight line parts thereof. Besides, an endless exposure part feeding belt feeding the paper X is constituted so that the electric resistance value of rubber is ≥6×1010 Ω and the static friction coefficient (μ) of the surface thereof is minimized by solid lubricant processing. Thus, a sliding action between the back surface of the paper X and the front surface of the feeding belt is facilitated. When the fed paper X is locked by the stoppers 22A and 22B, the bending thereof is corrected by feeding the paper X besides on a condition that the leading edge thereof is locked.
