Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stably manufacture a cold-rolled strip product with high plate thickness accuracy on a delivery side of a final stand by correcting a plate thickness variation in intermediate stands generated by rolling a stock having severe hardness variation such as the tip and rear end parts of a hot-rolled coil.

CONSTITUTION: In the cold tandem rolling mill, a plate thickness gage 20 is provided on an entry side of a stand positioned at the post-stage, and also, from its output, a low frequency component is separated and extracted by a low-pass filter 21, and based on its value, a roll speed of each stand from a first stand to a stand before the stand concerned and a rolling reduction position of the stand concerned, or a roll speed of each stand from the stand concerned to a final stand and the rolling reduction position of the stand concerned is simultaneously changed by a feed forward system.
