Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate thickness control method in thick plate rolling which can prevent the minus crown of a bite-in end and that of a bite-off end from getting excessive over a stationary part even when a slab is heated higher at both longitudinal ends than at the center.SOLUTION: A plate thickness control method has: the process (step 100, 110) for applying an estimated rolling load of rolling and a set bending force before the rolling to a plate crown estimated model to calculate a plate crown amount, and for previously determining an influence coefficient for a change in rolling load influencing an obtained plate crown amount and for a change in bending force, respectively; and the process (steps 200, 210, 220) for calculating a plate crown amount from an actual rolling load and an actual bending force by using the predetermined influence coefficient, and for increasing a target outlet side plate thickness of an automatic plate thickness control (AGC) by a fall of the obtained plate crown amount as the obtained plate crown amount falls below a predetermined threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
