To solve the following problems: the conventional type plate tile for an edge of the eaves brings about the risk of fall of accumulated snow, the pollution of a sagging portion, etc., and does not eliminate the clogging of a gutter, because the plate tile mainly has such a structure as not to give any consideration to the downflow of rainwater, the clogging of the gutter, etc., on ground that the plate tile has a flat shape; and the plate tile is constitutionally unsuitable for a structure in which a through-hole is opened slightly inside the head side of a Japanese roof tile.
In this plate tile for the edge of the eaves, a flashing protrusive streak, an underlap and an overlap are annexed to a flat plate-like tile body. A weir, which is protruded from a surface, is formed on the head side of the plate tile, and elongated toward the backside so as to form the sagging portion. The through-hole ranging from the front side of the plate tile to the backside thereof is opened in a position to be directed to a tail side from the weir. Thus, the plate tile is effective for the prevention of the slip drop of the snow in the accumulation of the snow, and the prevention of the pollution of the sagging portion.
