To improve strength of a plate-type heat exchanger while keeping heat exchanging performance of the plate-type heat exchanger.
This plate-type heat exchanger 20 is formed by stacking a plurality of plates 2, 3. Each of the plates 2, 3 has a first inflow hole 5 as an inlet of a first fluid, a first outflow hole 6 as an outlet of the first fluid, a second inflow hole 7 as an inlet of a second fluid, and a second outflow hole 8 as an outlet of the second fluid at four corners. A first flow channel in which the first fluid flows and a second flow channel in which the second fluid flows, are formed between the stacked plates 2, 3 adjacent to each other to exchange heat between the first fluid and the second fluid. A longitudinal length L1 of each of the plates 2, 3 is four times or more of its lateral length L2.
