To provide a plate type heat exchanger, unifying flowing refrigerant to evaporate evenly and improving the cooling of a heat transfer surface while increasing the cooling capacity of the same.
The plate type heat exchanger is employed for the evaporator of a refrigerating machine, forming a refrigerating cycle by a compressor, the evaporator, a condenser and a choking mechanism. In such a heat exchanger, the refrigerant inlet passage of the heat exchanger is constituted of an inlet port nozzle 1, a passage 6 in the horizontal direction and a vertical orifice 7 communicated with the refrigerant chambers 8 of respective plates while the refrigerant gas outlet port nozzle 5 is arranged in the opposite direction to the refrigerant inlet port nozzle through the surface of the plate or the same is arranged in two directions or the opposite direction and the same direction.
