Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a plate type heat exchanger having a high efficiency in heat exchange between gas and gas.
CONSTITUTION: Heat transfer elements 21, 21a, formed by bonding two sheets of heat transfer plates 25, 26 provided with crests 23 and troughs 24 at the peripheral parts and the whole periphery as well as the troughs 214 while utilizing spaces formed by the crests 23 as zigzag first gas passages, are arranged so that the crests 23 and the troughs 24 of the neighboring heat transfer elements 21, 21a are deviated alternately. A meandering space between the heat transfer elements 21, 21a is used for a second gas passage 38 and second gas flows through the passage 38 with a high flow speed while meandering whereby heat transfer rate is increased and the efficiency of heat exchange can be improved.
