Abstract:

To provide a technique for restraining a catalyst from being damaged/broken as a result of packing the catalyst in a plate-type reactor.

The plate-type reactor is constituted so that a space between the opposite heat transfer plates 1 satisfies a specific relationship expressed by the space P between the opposite heat transfer plates 1, the specific diameter H of each of heat transfer tubes 5-1 to 5-3 constituting the heat transfer plates 1 and the shortest particle diameter D of the catalyst to be packed in the space. The catalyst having the shortest particle diameter satisfying the specific relationship is packed in the space between the opposite heat transfer plates 1 of the plate-type reactor.
