Abstract:

To provide a plate assembly used in a fuel battery and the fuel battery using the plate assembly.

A plate used in a fuel battery includes a first reaction surface and a first cooling surface. The first reaction surface has a first fluid inlet port receiving a first fluid, multiple first passages extending in a substantially first direction and transporting the first fluid, and a first fluid outlet port discharging the first fluid, and the first cooling surface has a first coolant inlet port receiving a first coolant, multiple second passages extending in the substantially first direction and transporting the first coolant, and a first coolant outlet port discharging the first coolant. The first fluid inlet port and the first coolant outlet port are positioned near a first side of the plate, and the first fluid outlet port and the first coolant inlet port are positioned near a second side of the plate. The second side of the plate is located on the opposite side of the first side. The first and second passages are formed so as to have substantially the same length.
