To improve operability in the exchanging work of plates, and decreases the amount of slur in the top-to-tail direction caused by the elongation of paper by adjusting a tensile force imparted to the plate in advance by changing.
By pivotally operating a cam shaft 15, the gripping surface 11a of a vise base 11 and that 12a of a gripping plate 12 are opened and closed, and by closing the surfaces, the tail side end of the plate is held therebetween. Further, an adjusting pin 25 is pivotally provided in the through hole 13c of a spring bearing bar 13 fixed to the bottom face 2a of a notch 2. Furthermore, an eccentric shaft 25d is provided at the lower end of the adjusting pin 25. In addition, a compression coiled spring 27 to energize the vise base 11 about the large diametral part 15b of the cam shaft 15 toward a plate-tensing direction is resiliently installed between the eccentric shaft 25d and the bottom face of the spring hole 11b of the vise base 11.
