Abstract:
To provide a plated steel material excellent in sacrificial corrosion resistance while having beautiful spangle appearance, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a plated steel material that includes a steel material and a plated layer including a Zn-Al-Mg alloy layer arranged on the surface of the steel material and having a predetermined chemical composition. The surface of the Zn-Al-Mg alloy layer includes a dendrite-like MgZn2 phase; and the dendrite-like MgZn2 phase includes 10-140 pieces of dendrite-like MgZn2 phases having a surface roughness Sa of 50 nm or less, a primary arm length of 300 μm or more and a secondary arm length of 100 μm or more within an observation visual field of 25 mm2. A method for manufacturing the plated steel material is also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
