Abstract:
To provide a plated wire including a plating layer including Zn, Al and Mg and excellent in fatigue characteristics and corrosion resistance, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A plated wire includes a steel wire and a plating layer covering the surface of the steel wire. The composition of the plating layer consisting of, by mass%, Al: more than 5.0% to 12.0%, Mg: more than 0.30% to 1.00% and the remainder: Zn and impurities; the structure of the plating layer includes a Zn phase, an Al phase and a MgZn2 phase. When defining 15 degrees or more of an orientation difference between a Zn crystal and an Al crystal as a crystal grain boundary when measuring the Zn crystal and the Al crystal by EBSD, setting the average of circle equivalent grain sizes having 5 μm or more in the Zn crystals to dZn μm and setting the average of circle equivalent grain sizes in the Al crystals to dAl μm, the dZn is 30 μm or less, and the value of 2.4×dZn+24.2×dAl is 64 or more and 108 or less. A method for manufacturing the plated wire comprises depositing a molten metal coating having the composition on the steel wire and performing primary cooling and secondary cooling in a predetermined temperature range and at a predetermined cooling rate to form the plating layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
