Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the titled inhibiting agent containing potassium 5'-adenosine monophosphate as an active component.

CONSTITUTION: A platelet coagulation inhibiting agent is produced by using potassium 5'-adenosine monophosphate (K salt of 5'-AMP) as an active component, and preferably adding a magnesium metal complex (preferably having a molecular weight of 1,000W3,000) thereto. The above components may be incorporated further with free 5'-AMP, inosine, inosine monophosphate, etc. The K salt of 5'-AMP is abundant in the hot water-extract of shellfish meat, especially oyster meat. The agent is effective for the prevention and remedy of thrombosis of warm-blooded animal including human. It is administered orally in the form of tablet, capsule, granule, powder, etc., or parenterally in the form of injection, etc., at a rate of 1W500mg/kg daily in 1 W several divided doses by oral administration.
