PURPOSE: To obtain a platelike panel for press work which is surely sucked sheet by sheet from inside a stacker and carried to a press.

CONSTITUTION: The platelike panels 10 for press work are stored stacked vertically in the stacker, and carried-sucked and suspended sheet by sheet to the press. On the approximately middle area of the plate surface to be worked by the press, in order to separate stacked panels 10 from one another, plural embossed parts 14 are formed which are of a curved shape with a small curvature so that the traces are hardly left after a press work is performed. Also, the position where the embossed part is formed on the panel 10 is so arranged that the embossed parts 14, 14 of the upper and lower stacked panels 10, 10 are not engaged with each other ; a space is formed between the upper and lower panels 10, 10 that are stacked in the panel stacker; and there is no such failure as two sheets of panels being suspended together at the same time when one panel 10 is to be sucked and hoisted.
