Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a copolymer for a plating aid, as a technique to plate a molding such as a polyethylene resin, which is said to be difficult to plate.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing a copolymer for a plating aid. The copolymer for a plating aid is a copolymer of a first monomer (A) and a second monomer (B). The monomer (A) is a monomer selected from the group consisting of (meth) acrylate, (meth) acrylamide, vinyl ether, vinyl ester, siloxane, α olefin and substituted styrene, having an alkane chain with a length of 8 or more carbon atoms in its side chain. The monomer (B) is a monomer having a structure for imparting a metal adsorption ability in its side chain.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
