To provide a plating removing device of a three-piece wheel capable of easily and neatly removing plating at a welding planned portion of a superimposed part of an inner rim and an outer rim.
This plating removing device removes plating at a welding planned portion R on a curved outer periphery communicated with a cylindrical shell part 2b from a superimposed part of rims 2A and 2B of a three-piece wheel comprising an inner rim 2B, an outer rim 2A, and a disc. The device comprises support means 11 rotatably supporting the rim 2A, at least three holding rollers 34 holding an outer periphery of the rim supported by the support means 11 from the outside at a middle part of a longitudinal direction, rotary drive means 67 rotary driving the rim 2A held by the holding rollers 34, and abrasive means abrading the welding planned portion R on the curved outer periphery of the rim 2A with an abrasive cloth 13 to remove plating at the welding planned portion R.
