Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a medicine composition capable of retarding the growth of tumor and heightening the tumor cell-killing activity under irradiation therapy and high body-temperature treatment by compounding a divalent platinum nuclear dye complex with a nontoxic carrier. CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is obtained by dissolving a complex having a structure of ionically neutral complex of tetrachloroplatinate (II) with a nitroaromatic azoic diazo nuclear dye in a nontoxic carrier. This composition is administered by percutaneous injection or under irradiation and heating at a dose of 50-600mg/kg. The complex is obtained simply by adding the dye at a little excess by mol to potassium tetrachloroplatinate in water at ambient temperature and leaving the mixture to stand.
