Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively recovering a platinum group metal with high purity from a raw material containing platinum group metal.SOLUTION: The recovery method of a platinum group metal is characterized in that after palladium is extracted by solvent extraction from a solution containing a platinum group metal, hydrazine is added to an extraction residual solution, thereby generating reduced slag and the reduced slag is recovered; the platinum group metal contained in the reduced slag is eluted as chloride; an oxidizing agent is added to the chloride-dissolved solution and ruthenium is distilled and recovered; and the other platinum group metal are recovered from the distillation residual solution. For example, the palladium is extracted by solvent extraction from the extraction residual solution of a gold and the extraction residual solution is reduced with hydrazine and the ruthenium is oxidized/distilled from the chloride-dissolved solution of the reduced slag, and the platinum is extracted by the solvent extraction from the distillation residual solution, and the ruthenium is recovered from the extraction residual solution.
