Abstract:
PURPOSE:To execute a recording and a reproducing to both surfaces of an optical disk with one optical head and to obtain a thin-type player by allowing a rotary axis to coincide with the thickness center surface of the optical disk and equipping a lifting mechanism to execute displacement to a side where a slide mechanism is provided. CONSTITUTION:When the recording and reproducing is ended to one surface and an optical head 1 is automatically turned and displaced to the other surface side, the optical head 1 is moved to the outer periphery of an optical disk D by the sliding mechanism as a first step. In a second step, a lifting motor 11 is driven and inclined at an angle theta around a lifting axis l2 and a rotary axis l1 is displaced to a lower side than the optical disk D. In a third step, a switching motor 4 is driven and a turning switching stand 3 is turned at 180 deg.. Then, an unnecessary space (h) is eliminated. In a fourth step, the lifting motor 11 is driven in the reverse direction of the second step and the recording and reproducing are started to a switched surface. Thus, the recording and reproducing are executed to both surface and back face of the optical disk with one optical head and the thin-type player can be obtained.
