To provide a player system and a signal output/input switching method capable of eliminating the need for connecting a headphone output terminal of a memory player to an external input terminal of an amplifier speaker, surely preventing latchup of a component of the amplifier speaker, and surely preventing even distortion of an audio signal.

When an output of a first digital audio file decodable by the amplifier speaker 40 from the memory player 30 is switched to an output of a second digital audio file incapable of being decoded by the amplifier speaker 40, for example, when the second audio file is decoded and converted into an analog signal, the DC component is cut off by a coupling capacitor 35 being a cut-off means, and the resulting signal is output, the amplifier speaker 40 applies a prescribed bias to the analog signal by a bias circuit 44 as a bias means and then amplifies the resulting signal.
