To provide a plier steel sheet pile and a method of driving a steel sheet pile using the plier steel sheet pile allowing the steel sheet pile to be easily and smoothly driven into a predetermined depth with simple equipment.

One end parts of a pair of connecting bodies 4, 4 longitudinally extended and fixed to both faces of a guide steel sheet pile having the same cross-sectional shape as the steel sheet pile 10 to be driven, are projected from the lower end of the guide steel sheet pile. The upper end of the steel sheet pile 10 is held by both projecting parts 4a, 4a, and energized connecting pins 5 are fitted through through-holes 8, 8 of both projecting parts 4a, 4a and through-holes 11 of the steel sheet pile 10 and engaged with stoppers 7. The steel sheet pile 10 and the guide steel sheet pile can thereby be connected and held arranging joints 3, 3 at both side faces in a straight line in a longitudinal direction, and the steel sheet pile 10 and the connecting bodies 4, 4 are separated by removing the connecting pins 5.
