Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a joint excellent in the bead shape, the inner soundness and the formability after welding in the laser welding method where the laser beam is used as the heat source and the steel sheet is welded by using the filler metal.
CONSTITUTION: In the laser welding where the diameter of the filler metal is 0.4-1.2mm, and the filler metal feeding speed is 1.2-3.0m/min, the amount of C, Si, Mn and B in the base metal and the amount of C, Si, Mn and B in the filter metal are limited to reduce the difference in the hardness between the base metal and the filler metal and to improve the formability after welding, and the wettability of the base metal and the weld metal is improved by the addition of P, S to the filler metal and the weld metal and by the enrichment of oxygen to the filler metal, providing the weld metal excellent in the bead shape. The dilution factor of the base metal is large in the laser welding, and the content of the base metal is limited in addition to the content of the filter metal.
