Abstract:
To improve the plug life of the plug mill.
A plug shifting apparatus which shifts the plug in the axial direction and a mandrel anchor which receives rolling reaction force operating a mandrel bar 1 to support the plug consists of a fixed wedge 3, and a movable wedge 5 lifting and lowering with a jack 4 and the plug shifting apparatus of the plug mill which shifts the plug in the axial direction by shifting the collar section 1a provided in the mandrel bar 1 with the movable wedge 5.
