Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely detect the temperature of a plug and take a countermeasure by its temperature by equipping this plug socket with a temperature sensitive element, which projects allowably of coming out and sinking between the receiving edges of a plug socket, and an energizing means which energizes this temperature sensitive element so that it may project from the body of this temperature sensitive element.
CONSTITUTION: Since a protective tube 9 where a thermistor 7 is enclosed is arranged in a plug socket, the thermistor 7 can be incorporated with a special margin, and in addition the thermistor 7 can be prevented from being damaged. Furthermore, the protective tube 9 is energized with a coil spring 13 to project out of the plug socket body 3. Hereby, the temperature of a connection plug P can be detected surely. As a result, in the case where the temperature of the connection between the plug socket and the connection plug P rises up to above the set temperature by tracking or overload, a countermeasure can be taken quickly.
