Title:
PLUNGER CAM RING SLIDING BODY IN HYDRAULIC POWER TRANSMISSION COUPLING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3761134
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the wear-resistance, pitching resistance and seizure resistance of each of a plunger side sliding surface and a cam ring side sliding surface.
SOLUTION: A hydraulic type power transmission coupling 1 has a plunger 8 and a cam ring 8 either or both of which is made of steel for mechanical structural use, containing at least chromium. In this case, a plunger side sliding surface 8S and/or the cam ring side sliding surface 3S which are formed by projecting very fine particles having an averaged particle size of 10 to 200 μm and a Vickers hardness of higher than 750 Hv at a speed of higher than 100 m/s, onto a surface of the steel which has a surface carbon concentration of 1.2 to 3.0 wt.% and a surface hardness of 770 Hv or more and in which carbide is precipitated in the sliding part thereof.
