PURPOSE: To automatically keep optimum pressure all the time for a pneumatic fender device by a method in which the air chamber of a pneumatic fender is led to the main pipe through branched pipes, and the main pipe is connected to a compressed air generator in such a way so as to enable a pressure sensor, a solenoid valve and the compressed air generator to be operated in an interlocking manner.
CONSTITUTION: Each air chamber P of plural pneumatic fenders 10 fixed to a marine structure G or being floated is led to a main pipe 30 through branched pipes 20. The main pipe 30 is connected to a compressed air generator 40 provided on base ground, and pressure sensors 60 are connected to each of the branched pipes 20 through solenoid valves 50. A pressure sensor 70 is provided between the main pipe 30 and the compressed air generator 40 in such a way so as to enable the sensor 70 and the generator 40 to operate in an interlocking manner. The pneumatic fenders can thus be kept in a state of permitting the exhibition of optimum buffer performance all the time, and the safety of the ships and marine structure can be secured.
