Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the durability of a belt to be improved by constructing a tread with the stated rubber having the stated loss tangent and the dynamic modulus of elasticity while the both ends of the belt layer is covered with a rubber layer which has a lower stated loss tangent than that of the above said rubber so that the both sides of the belt is not exposed. CONSTITUTION:The loss tangent of a rubber layer of a tread 1 is specified to be more than 0.35 at least, desirably to be 0.45-0.75. And its dynamic modulus of elasticity is also specified to be more than 75kg/cm<2>. In addition, a sidewall 3 is made up with a rubber S with a low loss value, where its loss tangent is 90% of that of the tread rubber 1 at most, and its dynamic modulus of elasticity is also 80% of that of the tread rubber 1 at most while the both ends of the belt layer 5 are covered. This configuration enables the durability of the belt layer to be improved without affecting the grip and wet performance.
