Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel consumption, a vehicle space, hydro-planing and dry steering stability.SOLUTION: A pneumatic radial tire for a passenger car in which a relationship between a section width SW and an outer diameter OD of a tire is suitably regulated and which has at least one tread circumferential direction main groove only or the main groove and at least one auxiliary groove, of which a groove width is equal to or less than 2 mm, only. A negative ratio of the main groove is 12 to 20%, SW/OD is equal to or less than 0.26 when the SW is less than 165 mm, SW/OD satisfies OD≥2.135×SW+282.3 when the SW is equal to or more than 165 mm, and an inner land part width is equal to or more than 23 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
