Abstract:

PURPOSE: To ensure improved turning performance in particular by selecting the tip of a carcass ply wind-up end, etc. on the side of a crown portion, the carcass maximum width position during vulcanization-forming, interbead heel distance and so forth so that they satisfy their specific conditions.

CONSTITUTION: The tip of the wind-up end 11 of a carcass 10, a rubber filler 15, or at least one of inclined cord layers 18, 19 on the side of a crown portion 3 is extended to the center of a side wall 7. In addition, the carcass maximum width position C curing vulcanizing should be away from a bead heel 6a in a diametral direction by a distance V equivalent to at least 60% of the tire section height J during vulcanizing. Further, the distance A between respective adjacent bead heels 6a during vulcanization should be at least 12.7mm less than that at the time of inflation, and the carcass maximum width position C at the time of inflation should be reduced to 55 to 75% of the carcass maximum width position height J during vulcanizing.
