In a pneumatic tire provided with radial carcasses, belts and treads, one to two circumferential grooves, which extend in the circumferential direction and whose cross section are is 1.2cm2 or larger, are arranged, and constitution is made of a main belt, which is arranged to cover the whole of the treads and auxiliary belts arranged adjacent to the treads, and the main belt is constituted of two steel cord layers, which is laminated so as to hold the tire equator line at angle of 10° to 30° to the circumferential direction of the tire so that the directions of the steel cords become opposite to each other, and the auxiliary belts are constituted by a highly elastic organic fiber cord layer comprising highly elastic organic fiber cords whose elasticity ratio is 2,500 to 7,500kg/mm2 arranged in parallel to each other and buried in the rubber at an angle of 25° to 90° to the circumferential direction of the tire.
