To sufficiently absorb elongation of an outside diameter at the time of vulcanization-forming a tire by forming at least one layer of a belt by a spiral turning layer, and forming the spiral turning layer by slitting an unvulcanized tape-like member to cut many cords, and making cut surfaces of the cords abut on each other.
This tire has a belt 4 in which a tread part 1 is strengthened on the outer periphery of a radial carcass 3. In this case, the belt is formed by many rubber coating cord layers 4-1 to 4-5, and a spiral winding layer 4-1 is disposed in at least one layer, for example, the lowermost layer. The spiral winding layer 4-1 is formed by an unvulcanized tape-like member 10 in which many cords C1 to C6 are arranged in the cross direction in the unvulcanized rubber 10 g. In the unvulcanized tape-like member 10, before spiral winding, previously plural slits 10cL, 10cR are formed over about the half of the total width, thereby cutting the respective cords C1 to C6. Thus, the diameter growth of the tread part 1 is restrained so as to improve durability of the belt 4.
