Abstract:
To provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of reducing weight of the tire and capable of reducing rolling resistance while restraining end part separation and cord breaking of a belt.
A belt layer is composed of three belt plies 3, 4 and 5. The whole thickness is set to 2.2 mm or less. Among these belt plies, at least a single belt ply is embedded in covering rubber by juxtaposing metallic cords in the belt ply width direction. A diameter of the metallic cords is desirably set to 0.16 mm to 0.56 mm.
