Abstract:
To provide a pneumatic radial tire free to improve riding comfortability and to further lighten itself by ultra-flattening a steel cord to be used for a tire part.
The steel cord 40 is (a) 1+N structure where N pieces of sheath filaments are intertwined around a core filament 50 spirally reformed in the cord longitudinal direction, (b) a ratio d1/d2 of an element wire diameter d1 of the core filament and an element wire diameter d2 of the sheath filament is 1.04-1.1 (N=3-8) or 1.04-1.08 (N=9-18), and (c) a cord cross-section shape is flat, etc., on the pneumatic radial tire having the tire part made of the steel cord 40.
