Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of exerting superior tire performance with a lightweight, inexpensive aliphatic polyketone effectively utilized.
SOLUTION: A fiber cord for forming a carcass ply layer 4 has a structure -(CH2-CH2-CO)n-(R-CO)m-, (where, R is an alkylene group having a carbon number of 3 or more), and consists of a cord containing at least an aliphatic polyketone fiber having an n and m relation of 1.05≥(n+m)/n≥1.00. The fiber cord has a strength of 10 g/d or more, an elongation percentage of 2.25 g/d of 3.5% or less, and a fracture elongation of 5% or more.
