Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adhesive frictional force and shearing frictional force against an ice and snow road surface by arranging multiple sipes in the tire width direction on blocks provided on a tread face, partially protruding each sipe in one direction of the tire peripheral direction, and forming a protruded section narrow in width at the bottom section and wide at the upper section.
SOLUTION: Multiple sipes 4 are arranged in the tire width direction at intervals in the tire peripheral direction E-E' on blocks 3 provided on a tread face T. Each sipe 4 is partially protruded in one direction of the tire peripheral direction E-E', and a protruded section narrow in width at the bottom section and wide at the upper section in a plan view shape is formed. The width of the sipe 4 is set to 15-40 mm, open sipes 4 opened on both sides of the block 3 are preferably provided, and closed sipes 4 opened on one side of the block 3 and closed on the other side or closed sipes 4 closed on both sides of the block may be provided. The braking/driving performance on an ice and snow road surface is improved.
