PURPOSE: To mold a tire in one step by a method wherein a belt in contact with a carcass ply is extended from one part of a bead part to the other and the distance at its end from a bead base line is set to a specific ratio with respect to tire section height.

CONSTITUTION: In a state of a raw tire a carcass ply 12 is placed in a cylindrical state and an end along a direction of a shaft is folded back by a bead core 14 in a ring shape while its tip 12A is brought into contact with an intermediate outer periphery of the carcass ply 12 so that length from a bead base line at the bead core 14 is set to a specific distance B1. Numerous cylindrical belts 16 to 18 are sequentially wound around the outer periphery of the carcass ply 12 while crude rubber 22 is wound around their outer periphery. Further one of the belts 16 is formed with its widthwise size longer to be extended to the vicinity of the bead core 14. The end position H of the belt 16 is set to 30% or less of section height SH.
