PURPOSE: To improve operational stability by preventing the lowering of durability resulting from low compression elastic modulus in the case where an aramid fiber cord is used for a belt layer to make a tire lighter.

CONSTITUTION: The coat rubber of belt layers 2u, 2d is composed of a rubber composition made by combining 1 to 7 weight parts of compound which is formed by substituting 1 to 7 weight parts of resorcinol or its derivative and hexamethoxylmethyl melamine or its methoxylmethyl group through methylol group to 100 weight parts of raw material rubber so that the total quantity of these two kinds of compounds may be 3 to 12 weight parts, and moreover is composed of valcanized rubber whose dynamic elastic modulus is more than 20 megapascal (MPa).
