PURPOSE: To improve a comfortable ride with respect to a vibration and stability in operation, by specifying the diameter of a steel cord of a belt layer, a space between cords in a ply, the space between cords between the plies and their arrangement, in a radial tire for a passenger automobile.
CONSTITUTION: A belt layer 1 to be provided between a carcass ply arranged at a code angle of 70W90° with a circumferential direction of a tire and tread rubber s constituted by laminating a plurality of plies 4 and 5 constitution by arranging steel cords 2, whose diameter A is 0.2W0.55mm, at spaces C of 0.2W 0.5mm so that a space B between cords between plies becomes 1.0W1.5mm. In addition to the above, a titled tire is set so that a radio of the space B between cords between plies to the diameter A of the code falls within a range of 2.0W 3.0. With this constitution, comfort in riding in relation to a vibration and stability in operation can be improved.
