Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire having a so-called zigzag belt structure and a manufacturing method therefor capable of improving high speed durability. SOLUTION: This pneumatic radial tire includes a belt layer formed on a tread part by winding a strip material 12 formed of a plurality of cords 11 in a circumferential direction of a tire and folding in a zigzag shape at both shoulder end parts 6. Cord density in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the strip material 12 is higher at the shoulder end part 9, and is made lower as close to a center part 10 than at the shoulder end part 9.
