PURPOSE: To sharply decrease the number of road noises, by a method wherein the coefficient of equivalent road noise is set to 9.1 or less.
CONSTITUTION: In a tread 1, a belt reinforcing layer 3 is disposed in a manner to surround the outer periphery of a carcass cord layer 2, and a shoulder part 6 is positioned above a side wall part 5. A coefficient (m) of an equivalent road noise represented by an equality of m=K/W1D, wherein K is a modulus kg/mm of transverse spring of a tyre, W is a load kg of the tyre, and D is an outer diameter mm of the tyre, is set to 9.1 or less. Additionally, if (m) is too lower, performance of other tyre, especially, maneuvering stability and durability are deteriorated, and thereby a range of 5W9.1 is preferable.
