Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve resistance to impact of a tyre without damaging riding sensation, by a method wherein, in a title tyre having a flatness ratio of 0.60 or less, the strength of a rubber coated fabric used as a carcass layer is specified. CONSTITUTION:In a tyre, a carcass layer 4 is spanned between a pair of beads 1 on both sides, and a flatness ratio is set to 0.60 or less. In this case, the carcass layer 4 is formed with two rubber coated fabrics having strength F, which is in a range of from 2.5 to 3.5 and represented by a formula of F=SXStXE0, wherein F is strength (kg. piece/mm) of rubber coated fabric, S is tensile strength (kg) of a cord in the rubber coated fabric, St is the degree of cut elongation and E is cord count (piece/mm) per 1mm in the circumferential direction of a tyre. This constitution enables improvement of resistance to impact of a tyre without damaging riding sensation.
