To insure excellent drain performance even if wear is generated on a land part outside in the width direction in a tire provided with a plurality of main grooves rectilinearly extending in the circumferential direction on the tread by providing inclined grooves extending in the oblique direction against the circumferential direction on the second land part from the outside in the width direction.

In a tire in which a plurality of, for example six, main grooves 2-4 rectilinearly extending in the tread circumferential direction are provided on the tread 1, inclined grooves obliquely extending against the tread circumferential direction at required pitch on the second land from the outside in the tread width direction are formed on both side parts of the tire equatorial plane. In this case, it is favorable that at least one side of the respective inclined grooves 6 on both side parts of the tire equatorial plane are always opened in an optional meridian section, and the the angle on the acute angle side of the respective inclined grooves 6 against the tire equatorial plane are set in the range of 30-60°. Further the width of the inclined groove 6 is narrower than the width of the main grooves 2-4, and the groove depth is set shallower than the groove depth of the main grooves 2-4.
