To provide a pneumatic tire for an aircraft achieved in light weight and the enhancement of durability.
The pneumatic tire for the aircraft is provided with a carcass ply 2 comprising a cord layer extending from a crown 13 to both beads 11 through both side walls 12, and moored to the bead 11 and arranged in an approximately radial direction. The carcass ply 2 comprises at least one layer of an inner carcass ply 2A for forming a troidal shape which is wound and returned from the inner side of the tire to the outer side around a pair of bead cores 1; and at least one layer of an outer carcass ply 2B for externally wrapping the inner carcass ply 2A while including its winding, returning and winding-in to at least immediately below the bead core 1. A cord of the carcass ply 2 includes at least 50 mass% or higher of polyketone fiber, maximum thermal contraction stress is within a range of 0.1-1.8 cN/dtex as the dip-treated cord, and a weft yarn is not arranged in the carcass ply.
