Abstract:

To improve rim removing resistance of a pneumatic tire for an automobile for riding without worsening rim assembling performance and improve safety during normal running and run-flat running.

For a pneumatic tire having at least one layer of carcass 1 extending from a tread 2 through sidewalls 3 to beads 4 where it is turned around bead cores 5 from the inside to the outside of the tire, a rim reinforcing layer 7 is arranged at the bottoms of the beads 4, the carcass 1 being reinforced preferably by open-strand steel cords with the occupancy of their filaments by area being 0.45-0.95.
