To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving its steering stability and rolling resistance, and to provide a tire wheel assembly.
A pneumatic tire T to be mounted in a specified direction includes a carcass layer 4 mounted between a pair of bead parts 3, 3, the carcass layer 4 being rolled up around bead cores arranged in the bead parts 3 from the inside to the outside of the tire. The height of a rolled-up part 4 of the carcass layer 4 arranged inside the vehicle is kept constant on the periphery of the tire when mounted on the vehicle, while the height of a rolled-up part 4o of the carcass layer 4 arranged outside the vehicle is cyclically changed on the periphery of the tire when mounted on the vehicle. On the surface of the tire outside the vehicle, a display device 42 is provided for displaying at least one position of a recessed part 41 where the height of the rolled-up part 4o outside the vehicle is smaller. In the tire wheel assembly, the position of the recessed part 41 of the pneumatic tire T on the periphery of the tire corresponds to the position of a spoke part 13 of a wheel R on the periphery of the tire.
