To provide a pneumatic tire for preventing a decrease in appearance property with excellent ozone-proofness.

The pneumatic tire is obtained by vulcanizing unvulcanized rubber composition containing ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer rubber(EPDM) as a main component and hence forming ozone-proof thin film layer of the composition. In the case of forming the film layer, the composition containing the EPDM can be used as rubber cement dissolved in organic solvent. Specifically, a surface of an unvulcanized tire is coated with the cement to form a thin film, then the unvulcanized tire is vulcanized to obtain the tire having the ozone-proof thin film layer. The diene component of the EPDM contains ethylidene norbornene.
