To improve performance on a wet and icy road by forming a tread of a pneumatic tire with water soluble fiber and a rubber compound including at least one of recross-linking inhibitors among dithioic phosphoric acid, thiuram vulcanization accelerator and a compound of 4-methyl benzo thiazole group.
To achieve excellent performance on a wet and icy road, tread is formed with water soluble fiber and a rubber compound including at least one of recross-linking inhibitors among dithioic phosphoric acid, thiuram vulcanization accelerator and a compound of 4-methyl benzo thiazole group. Also, the tread has a multi-layer composition in the tire radial direction in which at least one of the layers is formed with the rubber compound. It is preferable that the rubber compound contains not less than 20 percent by weight of styrene butadiene copolymer rubber, in which carbon black or silica is compounded as a reinforcement filler.
